Job Summary
Assist the Associate Administrator of Imaging Services with the administrative, fiscal management of the assigned Imaging Department. Provide personnel development. Provide direction in all Imaging related technologies. Provide data mining and analysis for all Imaging related needs.
Responsibilities
• Provide consistent input to the Associate Administrator of Imaging Services on the quality of care provided by the department. • Assume authority and responsibility for decision making and problem solving for the department daily. Seek guidance from the Associate Administrator of Imaging Services as needed.
• Responsible for interviewing, staffing, scheduling, discipline, and evaluation of department personnel, including terminations. • Monitor and review the quality of care provided by the department in collaboration with Radiologists and staff
. • Act as a resource for all technical workflows and departmental needs.
• Develop and prepare department specific policies/procedures in conjunction with the Imaging QM Mgmt Coordinator
. • Assist the Quality Mgmt Coordinator in the preparation/maintenance of department Quality Improvement initiatives and reports.
• Assist the Associate Administrator of Imaging Services in assuring the accrediting body requirements of the department are met
. • Represent the department during regulatory inspections.
• Verify the competency of specific skills of the assigned staff.
• Coordinate department orientation programs for new staff members and those with special needs.
• Identify educational needs of the department staff and provide continuing education, in-services on new policies, technical skill training, and equipment use.
• Assist the Associate Administrator of Imaging Services in fiscal resource management for the department. Provide input on budget needs for department supplies, equipment, and capital.
• Assist designated personnel with maintenance of employee records related to pay, schedules, and benefits.
• Coordinate special projects.
• Prepare various reports, maintain in-service/education records, and prepare meeting minutes.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the department staff and physicians in assuring quality patient care and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the maintenance of equipment to operating standards
. • Serve as a resource for PACS, RIS, HIS, and limited IT related workflows.
• Counsel and evaluate personnel, address grievances, and make recommendations for transfer, promotions, and terminations.
The Imaging Technology Manager and Data Analyst is responsible for:
• Planning, executing, and delivering solutions for new and existing projects as assigned by the Associate Administrator of Imaging Services.
• Maintain knowledge of all equipment within the Medical Imaging Departments to effectively determine end of service life.
• Maintain knowledge of all equipment within the Medical Imaging Departments to be able to assist the Associate Administrator of Imaging Services and the Imaging Operations Managers with equipment replacement projects.
Collaborate with departments outside of Medical Imaging to assist with equipment evaluations, and imaging equipment projects. Assist the Associate Administrator of Imaging services with capital planning and purchasing workflows. Act as a liaison between IT and Imaging on all projects as required. Represent Medical Imaging in IT/Imaging projects. Collaborate with IT on projects and help to resolve issues. Coordinate with vendors and Imaging leaders to assist in equipment selection processes Collaborate with the entire health system as required. Acquire knowledge and skills to provide guidance for equipment, hardware, and software purchases for all Imaging modalities. Maintain knowledge for future technologies within Imaging. This can be obtained by, but not limited to online research, conferences, training sessions, off-site visits. Perform data mining, data analysis, and effectively present the information in a useful manner. Participate in ongoing training for above tasks.

Education
• Formalized Training (Required) Education: Formalized Training in AMA approved radiological program Experience: 4 Years - Supervisory Experience/other - 8 years Related Field preferred
