DESCRIPTION OF POSITION A Registered Professional Nurse, who under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, is responsible for: making a commitment to providing excellent nursing care of patients maintaining competency being accountable for nursing practice exercising sound judgment accepting responsibility appropriately delegating tasks and seeking consultation handling emergency situations to provide excellent service to the patient, physicians, and occupants in the Diagnostic and Rehabilitative Center, Ridge Road Campus, and Yorkville campus. participating in monitoring the quality of service assuring that standards are being met to comply with safety, public health, OSHA and HFAP regulations participating in orientation and training of members of the Immediate Care team respecting an individual's right to privacy and confidentiality QUALIFICATIONS

 

Professional/Educational Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse License with biennial renewal. Certified by the American Heart Association to the level of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or attaining within one year of hire. Knowledge of trends and techniques in nursing. Certification in PALS, or within one year of hire. Willing to become certified in Audiometry, Breath Alcohol Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing and Drug Screen collection if requested. Excellent skills navigating the electronic information highway; embraces technology and skilled at computer usage. DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required. Maintains required competencies/inservice and attends department meetings.
