Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions, and performing a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret assembly and elevation drawingsConstruct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assembliesRead tape measureUse manual hand tools (wrench, screwdriver, pliers)Use power tools (drill, impact, pneumatic torque wrench)Essential SkillsAt least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic working in a job shop environmentKnowledge of electrical symbols and schematicsAbility to use shop equipment and hand toolsPerform basic math functions including an understanding of fractions and decimalsFluency in reading, writing, and conversing in EnglishAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not requiredWhy Work Here?

The facility is a medium-sized facility with 60 employees, manufacturing everything from start to finish in fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly. The facility is very clean, new, modernly designed, and has comfortable temperatures to work in.

This is a Contract position based out of St. Charles, Illinois.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
