From identifying and supporting a variety of corporate legal matters to negotiating the industry’s evolving legal landscape, our corporate counselors bring their own kind of invention to effect positive change across the company and their own careers. **Job Duties and Responsibilities** As an Immigration Paralegal in our in-house legal department, you will be responsible for drafting, preparing, and filing immigration benefits applications. You will interact with HR, Managers, Employees, and Outside Counsel to support immigration compliance for DISH’s employee population. To be successful in this role, you will need 1+ years of previous U.S. Corporate immigration experience and to be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google applications such as Word/Docs and Excel/Sheets. You will also need to be able to multitask effectively and thrive in a busy, team-oriented, collegial environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Draft, prepare, and file immigration benefits applications in coordination with the Corporate Immigration Counsel + Prepare and draft email correspondence, letters and documentation for case matters to employees, government agencies, and colleagues + Work as a liaison between outside counsel and employee to coordinate immigration filing and gathering of necessary information + Coordinate with candidates and hiring managers during the new hire process + Maintain case records in the case management system + Post and maintain required immigration files and notices + Monitor the status of cases, track expiration dates, run reports **Skills, Experience and Requirements** **Education and Experience:** + 1+ year of prior US Corporate Immigration Experience + Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved Paralegal Education Program, an Associate degree in paralegal studies, or a Bachelor’s degree **Skills and Qualifications:** + Superior written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Effectively able to prioritize cases, caseload, and other assigned tasks (i.e. projects, company management responsibilities, etc.) + Proficiency in Google Suite applications and Microsoft Office **Salary Ranges** Compensation: $32.69/Hour - $44.23/Hour **Benefits** We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits . The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
