ImPact Mentoring Director
ImPact Mentoring Director Requisition Number 2022-6770 Overview

Under direction of the Chief Executive Officer, plan, develop, implement, conduct and evaluate activities provided under the ImPact Mentoring program. Collect and cultivate the compilation of data related to programs and operations.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

Implement ImPact Mentor Program and meet deliverables for OJJDP Mentoring Grant.Work with school personnel and direct services staff to identify youth for the program.Recruit, screen , orient and provide training to all incoming volunteer mentors.Communicate with the school personnel, families, referral agencies and other organizations on behalf of the ImPact program.Take a lead role in exploring community collaborations and developing supplemental support services for youth, including the lead in the Multidisciplinary Team.Complete the required reporting, attend and report to the Multidisciplinary Team meetings.Plan and implement Pact Days for matched youth and their mentors.Compile weekly data reports into an operational summary.Inform the development of the School Safety Strategic Plan.Develop and annual Program Plan that includes, but is not limited to, planned training workshops for volunteers, community recruitment activities and support groups.Make weekly contact with matched volunteers.Maintain casefiles for all mentors as well as records of current, pending and past mentors.Maintain casefiles for all mentees as well as records of current, pending and past mentees.Provide ongoing support and supervision to mentors, specifically conduct at least once per month one-on-one supervision as well as ongoing responsiveness to mentor questions and concerns.Provide ongoing education workshops to mentors at least once per quarter throughout the year.Outreach and communicate to increase youth referrals.Respond to all youth referrals in a timely manner; conduct youth intake and paperwork; meet with parent/guardian when applicable.Maintain documentation and track program deliverables, including those of partner agencies.Plan and hold annual mentor appreciation event.Maintain and update program and outreach collateral.Attend annual OJJDP National Partner meeting.Annually, as part of supervision, develop a professional development plan identifying personal goals, objectives and activities.Actively participate in supervision and staff training.Maintain confidentiality at all times.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Sound judgment and the ability to supervise mentors in the field.Excellent speaking and writing skills.Ability to develop positive relationships with community volunteers and with youth.Highly organized and collaborativeAbility to take initiative, dependability, flexibility and resourceful.Ability to function independently and as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, Google Docs/Calendar and Internet usage.

 

Additional Requirements

Able to work some evenings and weekends.Current driver’s license, clean driving record along with cleared background check. A criminal background check including fingerprint clearance.Enthusiastic interest in supporting the mission of the ImPact Mentoring Program Qualifications College degree in human services, social work or business preferred, relevant experience will be considered.Experience in developing and implementing programs required, administering programs required, supervising volunteers or other individuals, facilitating training. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities
