JOB SUMMARY:   

The Implant Direct Sr. Director, Manufacturing Operations-CNC will provide expertise in CNC manufacturing strategy and will lead all aspects of Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and EHS for Implant Direct.   Responsible for developing an optimal organization and team to achieve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity targets while being compliant with local and international laws and regulations. As a key member of Implant Direct’s leadership team the ideal candidate will have proven senior management experience in a highly dynamic setting.  They will possess an ultra-high sensitivity to quality and process discipline required in a Class 1 and Class II FDA-regulated manufacturing environment.  Their organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none, and they enjoy developing innovative solutions that push boundaries. They’ll work closely with the leadership team to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

On-Site Leadership for Implant Direct’s Class I and Class II manufacturing facility in Thousand Oaks, California.Lead operations strategy and execution to meet customer demand with required lead times (On Time Delivery) and with exceptional product quality.Drive process improvements and cost optimization in manufacturing and supply chain planning. Achieve PPV and VAVE targets through the adoption and/or integration of new technology and automation methods.  Develop and implement strategies to: Establish a safe working environment Achieve product quality that meets or exceeds documented standards Deliver all KPIs, inventory and budget targetsAdhere to and meet all regulatory requirements Coach, lead and create a culture of continuous improvement utilizing Envista Business System (EBS) tools Communicate effectively within the plant, across Implant Direct and Envista as well as external suppliers and partners.Manage action plans (daily, weekly monthly) for implementation, sustainment, and counter measures of operations KPIs and metrics.Champion Kaizen and continuous improvement activities. Utilize lean concepts such as:  Standard Work, Daily Management, VSM, IMAG, 5S, Kanban, SMED, DMP, VRK and other tools to create and maintain a mindset of continuous improvement.Work within the company’s corporate quality system and ISO/FDA regulations to remain compliant.Develop and manage the plan for preventative maintenance of production equipment.Support the implementation of new products and processes through organic and inorganic growth initiatives.Grow and develop organization through recruiting, selection, training, compensation, and motivation of operations team.  Guide and mentor direct reports to assist in their personal and professional development.Supervisory responsibilities include the direct supervision of manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, planning, and EHS managers. Carry out supervisory responsibilities including training; planning; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing compliance and solving problems.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, Supply Chain or Business required.Expertise in CNC manufacturing strategy. 10 years’ experience leading operations organizations in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated history of meeting/exceeding targets and expectations.3 years’ experience leading operations within a dental device or medical device (FDA regulated industry) environment strongly preferred.  ​

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
