Implant Technician II

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Connecticut Dental Lab in Rocky Hill, CT for an Implant Technician II.

The regular hours for this position are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist. Enter patient information and scan stone models to create a 3D virtual model. Design dental frameworks/restorations that provide the patient with the proper function and aesthetics. Communicate with doctors pertaining to inter-oral scan and implant cases Educates offices about iOS workflow Oversee implant inventory Out/In source implant abutments and printed models Receive inter-oral scan files and set up cases Place dental parts into CAM software to generate code for CNC machines. Operate CNC machinery to fabricate dental restorations. Cutout, spru, base dental restorations. It is the dental technician’s job to insure all steps are followed, in order, to insure consistent, accurate results. Read and review all paperwork on each case for correct information. Maintain machines weekly and make software updates as they become available. Keep cases organized so that everyone on the milling projects can work as a team. All other duties as assigned. 

Skills and Abilities Required: 

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Must have basic computer skills.

Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

Required for Milling Implant I, II, III: High school diploma or GED equivalent Milling Implant I: No experience required Milling Implant II: Must have 12 months of service or specified skills required for CAD/CAM Department or be a Recognized Graduate (RG) by National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology. Milling Implant III: Must have 5 years of experience or specified skills required for CAD/CAM Department or be a Recognized Graduate (RG) by National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology. (Note: A DLT I may be assigned to the CAD/DAM Department.)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach. Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions. Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation. Ability to effectively communicate technical information. Vision capabilities:  depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color.
