Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $78,500.00 - $105,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to lead Large Health System RemitConnect Implementations and maintain direct accountability for Commerce Bank’s key clients during implementation to ensure development of trusted business partnerships, successful implementation and transition to key partners, Healthcare Relationship Executives and Healthcare Account Managers.

Essential Functions

Lead projects with large & complex scope of work, implementations of $1 billion in NPR

Lead communication as senior Stakeholder Relationship Manager during implementation   

Responsible for managing the client matrixed teams (IT, Posting, Follow up, partners) and ensuring that the client and internal team’s resources, scope and timeline are aligned

Attend onsite knowledge transfer/project kickoff

Responsible for accurately and proactively measuring ROI & successful project delivery

Consultative approach utilizing repeatable best practices based on the playbook of services and systems in scope

Ability to apply end-to-end revenue cycle background understanding to influence strategy discussion during implementations

Act as a training facilitator, leveraging change management and influencing adoption of services in scope  

Proactively identify escalations related to the program during implementation

Manage large and complex healthcare clients and successfully hand them off to Account Manager(s), Healthcare Relationship Manager(s) and Healthcare Relationship Executive(s)

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required

Deep understanding of hospital billing systems, patient accounting systems, and HIPPA Collection industry

Strong understanding of the Healthcare industry, including Revenue Cycle experience and expertise

Strong knowledge of industry regulations for core healthcare billing systems, and competitive products and have an understanding of healthcare file testing, transmissions, integration and processes

Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with exceptional communication skills to present across all levels internally and externally (C-Suite to individual contributors) and to lead and collaborate with cross-functional project teams, internally and externally, to successfully deliver desired results 

Excellent problem-solving skills with proven aptitude to provide consultative solutions, pro-actively identify and share best practices while building trust and partnerships with our clients

Proven ability to find creative solutions to optimize clients’ automation opportunities and influence adoptions of integrated services

Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence, adoptions and organizational change management

Demonstrated ability to provide consultation from end-to-end revenue cycle of the healthcare market; product development and support with an ongoing pulse on the evolving market 

Strong client negotiation experience in healthcare industry with the ability to identify sales opportunities and exceed sales goals through consultative approach

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and comply with HIPPA regulations

Exhibit commitment and a sense of ownership by serving as a strategic partner to help move the organization forward

Ability to deal with ambiguity and decipher business needs and requirements, including client escalations

Ability to reconcile A/R and G/L required

Ability to read and understanding 835 and 837 file formats preferred

Some travel required based on business need

Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and OneNote

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required

8+ years project management experience, with proven ability to meet key project milestones required

8+ years of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle industry required

5+ years of direct consultative experience preferred

Experience in the areas of account management, banking, sales marketing and accounting preferred

Direct experience with Epic and/or Cerner systems preferred

At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $78,500 to $105,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
