Implementation Project Consultant

C.H. Robinson is hiring an Implementation Project Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will manage the technical integration and system setup for implementation projects from conception to go-live and support (sales to operations). You will primarily focus on onboarding new business but will also support projects for existing customers as needed and provide expertise in your area.

Your daily tasks will include documenting customer requirements, coordinating regularly with the Project Manager, collaborating with Technology resources to integrate customer systems electronically, configuring systems, and communicating project progress.

Ideally, we are looking for someone based in Chicago, IL, who can work in the office three days a week and remotely two days a week. This may change based on business needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Serve as the technical liaison between customer project teams, including their technology teams, and internal development resources

Document customer requirements, identify system gaps, and define technical requirements for business-to-business communication

Facilitate project meetings with internal and external teams

Capture current processes, design future-state solutions, and create process maps for integration

Identify process improvement opportunities and document role and responsibility changes

Develop and execute a testing plan with the customer

Create training materials and conduct training sessions

Coordinate with the Project Manager to maintain project timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements

Support tool development, helpdesk ticket management, and knowledge transfer to the customer account team

Provide guidance to new team members, ensure compliance with policies, and support business development efforts as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university

A minimum of 2 years of technical project management experience

Prior experience working with customers, vendors, or carriers

Previous experience with TMS software

Flexible hours (some weekend/late hours may be required)

Up to 20% travel may be required (domestic and/or international)

Preferred:

Basic facilitation skills, including relationship management, presentation, discussion, documentation, and accountability

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver presentations for internal and external audiences at all levels

Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts across all levels, both internally and externally

Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply this knowledge to accomplish work

Ability to solve problems and analyze potential solutions using technical experience, judgment, and established precedents

Capable of explaining complex information clearly in straightforward situations

Compensation Range

$79,800.00 - $124,300.00
