C.H. Robinson is looking for an Implementation Project Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role is hybrid—three days in the office and two days working from home.
In this role, you’ll lead and manage projects while also supporting teammates with your expertise. To be successful, you’ll need to stay organized, communicate clearly, document effectively, and think creatively when tackling complex problems.
You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external partners to keep everyone aligned and moving forward. You’ll be responsible for meeting goals related to planning, network design, and procurement. We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in project management who’s eager to keep learning about our business and the customers we serve.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead 1–2 implementation projects, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with high-quality results
Understand business goals and use that insight to drive project planning, execution, and problem solving
Maintain key project documentation, including plans, process flows, resource needs, and business cases
Communicate progress clearly, lead project meetings, escalate risks, and support internal and external change management
Influence stakeholders without authority and confidently challenge the status quo when needed
Build strong relationships with project teams, customer stakeholders, and sales partners to support a smooth implementation
Track and report financials, including resource hours and billing, and support go-live and knowledge transfer to operations
Apply a structured implementation methodology to map current processes, capture customer expectations, and design future-state workflows
Recommend and support improvements to tools, processes, and implementation best practices
Guide and mentor new team members while ensuring compliance with internal control standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 2 years of technical project management experience
Six Sigma, Lean, TQM or process improvement experience
Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Transportation experience
Ability to work flexible hours (some weekend/late hours may be required)
Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and/or internationally)
Preferred:
Project Management Professional certification preferred
Project management experience, with the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections, and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view
Strong communication skills: strong listener with exceptional facilitation skills and the ability to tell the story and connect to your audience
Ability to organize, design, develop and deliver projects for internal and external audiences at all levels
Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts internally and externally at all levels
Experience working and thriving in a continuous improvement environment
Experience with lean processes and tools such as value stream mapping, A3 project management, visual management, Pareto Analysis, and fishbone diagrams
Experience and comfort in dealing with ambiguity and able to deliver with minimal oversight
Experience working directly with customers
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Compensation Range
$79,800.00 - $124,300.00The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
