**Position overview:**
As the Import/Export Specialist you are a key member of the Logistics team, reporting to the Regional Logistic Manager. You will contribute to the success of Ball byensuring the accurate preparation and control of all necessary customs and transport documents in compliance with legal requirements. You will also ensure the timely forwarding of relevant documents to internal and external parties, particularly carriers. Compliance with the requirements in the areas of occupational safety, hygiene, fire and environmental protection.
**Key responsibilities include:**
Daily cooperation and coordination with the following partners:
Customers/Fillers: Timely sending of customs documentation for each shipment to the carriers, customers, suppliers and coordinating regarding the optimal procedure.
Customs authorities and carriers and warehouse service providers: Daily cooperation regarding the planned transports in the plant and in the border traffic regarding the customs clearance for CH/AT/CH.
Suppliers: Checking the required customs duties and the import documents provided by the supplier and their correction in accordance with the applicable regulations as well as preparation of the import customs clearance for CH/AT/CH.
Customs inspections: Cooperation and coordination with the control customs office KZS St. Margrethen regarding spot checks for received and shipped goods.
Carriers: communication and coordination with carriers on timely correct customs clearance documentation for release.
Renewal of required permits and documentation of clearances in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
Preparation of documentation for inward processing.
Continued further training regarding VAT, customs duties, customs law and customs procedures.
**What are we looking for?**
Completed training as a customs declarant with a federal diploma or extensive experience as a customs declarant or in the customs administration
Profound knowledge of customs and experience in import and export (advantage: border traffic CH-AT-CH)
Preferably knowledge of English
IT skills (MS-Office, SAP, customs application, E-Dec, NCTS, relevant customs homepages)
Fluent English
