Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Import Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing import documentation, ensuring data accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves coordinating with various service providers, maximizing profit margins, and supporting the department with daily functions.
ResponsibilitiesDetermine the pertinent parts of import documentation.Reconcile piece counts accurately.Ensure accurate data entry.Look up and update arrival notice information.Trace freight as needed.Assist with updating the Cargowise system filters.Create Delivery Orders and Delivery Instructions as needed.Obtain quotes from truckers, warehouses, and related service providers.Maximize profit margins for the department.Determine the needed equipment for deliveries.Obtain Proof of Delivery.Reconcile disputed delivery charges.Assist Import Customer Service Representatives with daily functions.Clean up the Cargowise system filters as needed.Essential SkillsProficient data entry skills.Strong administrative and clerical support capabilities.Experience in dispatch and customer service.Professional appearance and demeanor.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Positive attitude and critical thinking abilities.Receptive to receiving instructions.Ability to follow up and follow through on shipment matters.Ability to shift tasks without frustration.Problem-solving skills.Team player mentality.Self-starter and proactive attitude.Willingness to assist where needed.Proficient in Microsoft systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsReceptive to shifting from email communication to phone calls.Promotable with a potential for career growth.Work Environment
This position requires working 100% onsite in an office environment. The candidate should be prepared to work in a professional setting and adhere to the company's dress code.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
