Responsibilities

Finalization of RDBMS requirement and specifications for the Land GIS project.Assisting in designing the database architecture within the overall Solution Architecture.Development of data model for Raster (Image data), Spatial data (GIS Layers) and Non-spatial MIS dataGIS-MIS integration.Integration of different and diverse RDBMSDatabase management and maintenance activities (data back-up, Data Archiving)Data Migration from Legacy systems

Mandatory skill sets:

Knowledge of strong SQL and database programming skillsUse SQL to query, update, and manage databases, to write complex SQL queries and Optimization of SQL codeUnderstand database optimization techniquesStrong Database Security including hardware, software, and networking knowledgeUnderstanding of defining user roles and permissions, implementation of access control mechanisms, how to use database administration tools etc.Understanding of how to define and implement data management policies

 Preferred skill sets:

Preferred RDBMS platform exp. – MS SQL Server

Years of experience required:

3-6 years of relevant work experience.

Education qualification:

B.E / B.Tech / M.Sc / MCA / M.Tech or equivalent degree with 3-6 years of relevant work experience in database design, database implementation, management and backup process, data flow process, database structure, RDBMS.
