Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Maintenance & Monitoring Technician for In-Building Wireless and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). In this role, you will help ensure reliable, seamless connectivity for major institutions, including The Ohio State University, Wright State University, CMH Airport, and JPMC. Responsibilities
Respond to trouble tickets from the Network Operations Center (NOC), troubleshooting and resolving issues both remotely and in the field.
· Document all activities and coordinate with customers, engineers, and NOC personnel.
· Conduct annual site surveys and provide detailed reports to iBwave engineers and project managers, including:
o Photos of site conditions and equipment
o Information on head-end, remote equipment, and closet details
o Visio drawings and reports in PowerPoint or Word
o Material lists and descriptions of the installation environment (e.g., ceiling type, work hours, special requirements like HEPA tenting, etc.)
Perform RF surveys for carriers using test phones and scanners.
Complete grid testing for public safety networks using SeeHawk Touch and PCTEL scanners.
Troubleshoot issues related to coaxial cables, fiber optics, and software.
Conduct basic installation and removal of equipment or hardware for Break/Fix tickets.
Perform basic wiring and cabling tasks.

Position Requirements
Preferred Skills
Certification or willingness to become certified in:
o Sweep/PIM Testing
o OTDR Testing
o General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL)
o CBRS Certified Professional Installer (CPI)
Ability to attend OEM Commissioning classes.
Capability to teach and share knowledge gained from training with others. · Lift certification or willingness to obtain certification. · Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth in the in-building wireless and DAS field.
Willingness to support on-call duties, including emergency call-outs during nights, weekends, and holidays (on a rotating schedule).
Ability to adhere to safety protocols and standards.
Ability to follow directions and maintain high-quality standards.
Proficient in safely using hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
Education & Experience
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred: 2 years of experience in in-building wireless systems.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
The employee must be willing and able to travel as needed to various locations to meet customer and network demands. Adherence to all company safety procedures is mandatory.

Regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers.
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, with most of the day spent standing. The role often involves servicing network equipment and positioning oneself in small, confined spaces, such as remote cabinets, vaults, or buildings with limited workspace.
Must routinely lift, carry, push, pull, install, and/or remove tools and equipment weighing between 20 to 50 pounds.
Must be physically capable of safely operating a variety of equipment, including telecommunications or construction equipment.
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision (ability to distinguish between different wire sizes and colors), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Occasionally required to remain stationary for extended periods while operating computers or other office equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., though evening or weekend work may be required on an as-needed basis. Communication regarding work hours will be discussed and agreed upon between the employee and supervisor, with a more formal arrangement established during the trial period. The role also includes on-call responsibilities as assigned, to address ANS Advanced Network Services issues after hours, on weekends, and during holidays.
