**_Banking & International_** Risk & Controls (IBRC) organization is an integral part of Banking (covering Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking and Investment Banking) and drives consistency across Banking for addressing risk and control issues. The IBRC team fosters a culture of control and customer centricity and accountability by leading efforts to identify, anticipate and mitigate regulatory, reputational, and operational risks. Roles in the risk and controls space are critical to managing a safe and sound global business. The primary function of IBRC is to anticipate, identify and mitigate non-credit risks, including operational, compliance, reputational and performance risks, that could impact business objectives, and to minimize control breaks, poor audit/exam results and operational risk events and losses. IBRC staff work with the business to determine appropriate mitigants to key risks, including advising them on how to design appropriate controls through a globally consistent MCA, and in overseeing the implementation of various elements of the business’s overarching Risk Appetite Framework. The IBRC team also helps to instill a robust risk and controls culture throughout the business through a strong issues and audit/exam management discipline. B&I R&C India is seeking to hire an In-Business Compliance Risk Vice President to liaise with Independent Compliance Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, functional partners, Risk and Controls, Banking business, and IBRC staff, to help identify, manage, monitor and remediate Regulatory and Compliance-related, & Operational risks as well as manage the exam management and related processes **Key Responsibilities** + Interact with all Banking business functions and stakeholders, including ICRM, ORM, Operations, Compliance Assurance and Internal Audit, to identify key Compliance Risks and Policies impacting the Banking business and working closely with the front line and support staff to ensure execution of key controls. + Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Regulatory deliverables and interact with the regulatory inspection teams + Ensure that B&I R&C APAC has a proactive approach to managing Operational and Compliance Risk and develop appropriate procedures and controls to mitigate that risk. + Manage and lead the issue management in ensuring timely identification, documentation, opening and closing of issues and corrective action plans, lessons learnt exercise. + Manage regulatory reporting across credit and other related areas for the Banking business. + Identify and automate various regulatory reporting requirements and processes + Ensuring all critical risk and control metrics are at or above targeted goals and provide thought leadership and vision in strengthening the control environment. + Identify emerging risks and opportunities to stated objectives as they arise. + Manage the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) process for the Banking business **Qualifications:** + 10+ years of experience within In-Business Risk/Credit Risk/Controls/Regulatory Management/ Corporate banking Operations. + Knowledge of corporate/investment banking products, policies and processes will be preferred. + Ability to balance regulatory/policy requirements with business realities and pain points. + Self-motivated with ability to work independently and under pressure to manage deadlines. + Strong influencing, persuasion and leadership skills. + Must have analytical inquisitiveness and problem-solving ability. + Demonstrated ability to think strategically and ‘connect the dots’ yet be detail-oriented. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Demonstrated ability to interact with senior audiences, as well as second/third lines of defense and regulators. + Forward-compatible mindset, with the desire to leverage technology to improve analytics. + Experience with MS Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint. + Experience to Indian Banking Regulations / Corporate or Commercial Banking Lending products preferred + Ability to multi task and work on time bound activities **Education:** + Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family Group:** Compliance and Control ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family:** Business Control ------------------------------------------------------ **Time Type:** Full time ------------------------------------------------------ Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
