Job Description We are looking for an In-Field Medical Advisor, in the Oncology therapy area, to join our commercial affiliate in Citywest, Dublin. This position reports to the Senior Medical Manager. You will be expected to develop & build strong networks with key Irish stakeholders as the product expert. You will have In-Field responsibility for providing up-to-date medical, clinical development and relevant expertise to HCPs. Roles and Responsibilities + Build strong networks with medical Key Opinion Leaders both nationally and internationally in the therapeutic area by seeking and collecting the medical voice of the customer. + Develop and implement the medical strategy for the brand, working closely with the cross-functional teams (marketing and sales). + Collaborate with the clinical trial operations regarding new studies to be considered for Ireland, with respect to the local environment. + Implement an effective Medical Affairs Plan & Strategy for the brand. + Assist and review to ensure compliance of promotional materials and company sponsored activities such as IPHA code and company SOPs. + Oversee and handle the medical budget related to the brand. + Assist Market Access, Regulatory Affairs and Medical Information with medical input as appropriate. + Provide medical/scientific support and training for internal staff and interns. + Initiate and run advisory boards, medical educational meetings and 1:1 key HCP meeting on a local level. + Support HCPs with the relevant compassionate use programmes that are available. Qualifications + PhD, Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Registered Nurse, or equivalent is preferred. + Clinical trial or medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, academia or equivalent is preferred. + Strong self-leadership and team-player mentality + Knowledge of clinical trial methodology, regulatory requirements governing clinical trials and experience in development strategy and the design of protocols is an advantage. + Expert knowledge in a relevant therapeutic specialty and/or ability to rapidly gain expertise and process information. + Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapid changes + Business acumen/understanding + Must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills.
