The role!
Position: In-Home Support (IHS) Mentor
Location: Wakefield, MA
Pay rate: $17 per hour
Hours: 10 – 25 hours per week Shifts: Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours available

Summary & Responsibilities
IHS Mentors are responsible for teaching life and social skills to individuals in a variety of environments using their home and community as the classroom.
+ Empower individuals in managing and exercising control over their Individual Support Plan (ISP)
+ Directly work with individuals on their ISP goals
+ Assist individuals with activities of daily living when necessary
+ Seek input from individuals and families; and respond accordingly
+ Help individuals to advocate for their needs and desires when necessary.
+ Recognize and support the individual’s rights to make decisions, choices, and the right to take risks
+ Supervisie overall medical health, nutrition, social and general welfare
+ Assist in the completion of assessments and other paperwork as assigned
Qualifications
+ High School diploma required (BA degree in Human Services or related field preferred)
+ At least 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is required
+ 3 years of experience preferred
+ A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must
+ Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
+ Must pass company background and reference checks
