Exciting In-House Attorney opportunity for a business minded individual who is targeting sophisticated work, and a fast-paced environment that is collaborative, collegial, intellectually stimulating and fun. Our client is an investment management platform with a diverse and robust portfolio. They are seeking an additional Attorney with at least three years of experience to join their office in Baltimore County. This is a hybrid position (2 days in the office)
This role primarily focuses on Real Estate transactions with some involvement in corporate transactions. You will be representing clients in various stages of commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, as well as advising on real estate purchases from inception to post-closing.
Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions
• Advise clients on all stages of real estate purchases, from letters of intent to post-closing
• Handle real estate finance-related matters
• Engage in corporate transactional work as it relates to real estate deals
• Advise on joint ventures and entity formation
• Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance
• Conduct legal research and initial case assessments
• Draft and review legal documents such as contracts and agreements
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in the law.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
· JD from an accredited US law school is required.
· Must be an active member in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Experience & Personal Attributes:
+ Ideally looking for two to five years of relevant experience.
+ Experience handling a broad range legal matters associated with real estate ownership, management and investment.
+ Must be able to manage and work well with others and assist with special projects assigned by the general counsel and other company executives.
+ Must be able to work well both independently and collaboratively with others in a fast-paced, team environment.
