Do you want to work as an in-house legal counsel in a dynamic and international environment?
We are looking for a dedicated in-house lawyer who has solid experience in business law and a similar role, preferably in retail. The role offers a unique opportunity to work with high-level business law and will be a key person in our organization.
About the role
As the sole in-house counsel in the Swedish business unit, you will be responsible for legal matters within the Swedish business, including the handling of some disputes and corporate law issues. The role is broad, and you will work with various business law issues, and support both management and the business. In addition to working operationally with the legal issues that arise on an ongoing basis, you will also advise on how the companies should strategically manage their risks and ensure the relevant risk level.
You will report to the Legal Head of Europe and be part of the Global Legal Team of in-house lawyers led by the Chief of Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary based in North America, Canada. As part of an international team, you will collaborate with your colleagues in other countries and work on international projects, internal as well as with external stakeholders.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who, post-graduation (Master of Laws), has worked for at least 8–10 years in- house and/or for a law firm. You have broad business law expertise, preferably with special experience in areas relevant to the retail sector, such as commercial law, real estate law, consumer law, competition law and marketing rules and regulations. You have extensive experience in drawing up and negotiating commercial agreements and you like working in close collaboration with the business. Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English is required. Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage, but not a requirement.
As a lawyer, you are business-minded and pragmatic without letting go of the requirement for high quality in your advice. As a person, you are communicative, you establish relationships easily and you have great ability to collaborate. You are structured and solution-oriented with the ability to handle several projects simultaneously.

The company is located in modern and newly renovated premises in central Stockholm. The position is located at the office in Stockholm, but we apply a hybrid work environment where there are opportunities to work remotely during part of week.
