Job Summary:
This position is for an In-House Service/Repair Technician to support Boston Customer Service 9” Gimbal Products. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various Gimbals within required turnaround time, ensuring high quality service and customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct routine repair, diagnosis, service, support and upgrades to all Maritime Gimbal Systems products.Assist Engineering in development and implementation of system upgrades, ECO's, and new product implementation.Develop standard repair and maintenance procedures which will be documented to company and ISO 9001 standards.Provide technical support in the development of customer service spare parts inventory, including establishing requirements for contents and quantities.As required, effectively provide customer support via telephone regarding technical repair issues.Provide accurate repair cost estimates.Participate in the development and implementation of training courses.Support the servicing of demo and rental equipment.Perform other job-related duties as required.Job Qualifications:
AS Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2-4 years’ proven experience in electro-mechanical device/equipment build or repairs required.Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, proficient with electronic test tools and equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, and signal generators etc.Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.Capable to meet standard turnaround time and the repair deadlinesA good technical knowledge of computers and computer peripherals. A good working knowledge of using computer softwareExcellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Job Preferences:
1-3 years prior experience on servicing thermal imaging equipment is a plus Soldering, assembly, and troubleshooting of electrical systems Good SAP experienceApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
