The primary function of this position is to provide an entry level capacity for the diagnosis and repair of Roche equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs, and calibrates customer and Roche owned equipment. This equipment includes all types of instruments and components marketed and sold by Roche. Repairs biomedical equipment returned by customers. To Roche Diagnostics.  Ensures safe operations and effective performance of equipment by conducting approved programs for quality control and maintenance.

Acquires and applies job skills, company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Assignments are routine to semi-routine in nature. Works under supervision and receives detailed instructions on work assignments.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

The Opportunity


The In-House Service/Repair Technician is responsible for the service repair and evaluation of small molecular analyzer.

Must have experience in small instrument / electromechanical sub-assembly repair

Utilizes instrument testing, control testing, and visual inspection techniques.

Troubleshoots and resolves routine problems encountered with product testing.

Tests instruments and sub-assemblies following documented procedures to assure conformance to specifications and standards.

Troubleshoots routine test failures to the sub-assembly level and documents non-conformances in piece parts, assemblies and test results.

Create and maintain appropriate batch records and associated documentation

Who You Are

You hold a High School Diploma.

You have 2 years of technical school or military training or equivalent experience

Preferred Requirements

Associate’s Degree or specialized training in science, electronics or related fields.

1 year of experience in small instrument repair / medical device preferred

1 year experience in hands on instrument testing environment

Must be able to lift 20 pounds

Proficient in Excel, MS Word, Data Entry, Google Apps

Flexible to work overtime during the week and weekends.

The expected salary range for this position based on Indianapolis, IN is $40,400.00 - $75,000.00/year. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
