A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.Our Internal Tax team provides internal services related to financial services, treasury and taxation. As part of our team, you’ll help the team provide a full range of taxation services to PwC related to complex financial reporting, cost management, tax planning, investment management and transaction processing.
Summary Description: This role is based in Gurugram India. Specific responsibilities include supporting engagement teams who work across borders and working with the relevant stakeholders to help build and support the global CBEA network. The primary purpose of the CBEA is to mitigate risk to the firm by providing guidance on cross-border issues to enable compliance with work country laws and regulations. In addition, the CBEA advises on the costs associated with rendering cross-border services to make sure that these costs are considered when managing an engagement's profitability. The CBEA should also contribute to the thought leadership of the network by gathering knowledge and suggesting white paper discussion topics on cross-border services; by recommending improvements, as warranted, to existing cross-border policies, procedures and operations in order to minimize risk and maximize engagement profitability; and by identifying ways in which technology or other processes can be used/implemented to better streamline the CBEA service delivery.*Why PWCAt PwC, you will be part of a vibrant community of solvers that leads with trust and creates distinctive outcomes for our clients and communities. Responsibilities:
· Developing sound understanding of PwC’s cross-border business dynamics and service offerings. Working with the various member firms and other stakeholders to research, analyze and evaluate immigration, tax, payroll, regulatory and other issues arising on cross-border engagements and other cross-border travel
· Comprehending cross-border tax concepts around permanent establishment, secondment, individual tax and tax treaty application.
· Demonstrating knowledge of, and success in linking and integrating the areas of tax, immigration, and/or cross-border operations for a global network of professional services firms.
· Demonstrating a solution-oriented approach, leading the consultation aligning all the impacted stakeholders and various aspects of the transactions, anticipating the requirements of stakeholders to provide the optimum solution to achieve the business objective.
· Connecting engagement leaders with contacts in foreign territories who can provide advice, as needed.
· Understanding the facts of cross-border projects and advising on tax-efficient and regulatory-compliant business operating models.
· Lead the team members to consult with engagement teams to mitigate cross-border risks by creating accurate technical advice based on relevant facts & circumstances.
· Recommending and developing solutions for improving the quality and efficiency of services delivered by the CBEA network.
· Utilizing advanced analytical skills to apply policies to a myriad of cross-border scenarios.
· Managing cross-border consultations and inquiries through internal workflow tools.
· Using multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations for sign-off on tax position from relevant stakeholders.
· Curating, developing presentations and leading/supporting in leadership education sessions.
· Developing and providing guidance on pricing and costing cross-border engagements to help maximize profitability.
· Understanding the current workflow tool, analyzing the current system for driving efficiency, preparing BRD for IT team and getting it implemented through IT.
· Educating internal firm tax team on the compliances required in foreign countries for cross-border projects.
· Developing and delivering training regarding the CBEA scope of services and marketing these services within the firm.
· Keeping updated on the latest development in the international tax and regulatory domain.
· Delivering work project quality with minimal revisions that satisfy requirements consistently.
· Possessing problem-solving skills with attention to detail, coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously and working independently with minimal supervision.
· Building solid relationships with partners, managers, staff members, other firm’s finance groups, SMEs, Global mobility team, other network firms tax team.
· Staying abreast of and assisting in the development of network “CBEA technology.”
· Coordinating for review of client contracts, tax clauses from overseas countries point of view, other aspects of advice with other finance teams.
· Leadership reporting on key developments and progress update.
· Acting fairly and with integrity in complying with PwC policies.
