Job Description

You will conduct routine testing using a variety of chemistry techniques and equipment on samples from the API Lab group. This group uses a wide array of techniques and equipment to test in-process products made for both our products and our customers' API. Techniques include UV-VIS, LOD, pH, and physical testing. Daily huddle or meetings will provide direction on necessary testing and required assistance. You will only perform tests or work on equipment for which you have been fully trained.

ResponsibilitiesConduct routine testing using various chemistry techniques and equipment.Test in-process products for both internal products and customers' API.Utilize techniques including UV-VIS, LOD, pH, and physical testing.Participate in daily huddle or meetings to receive direction and updates.Perform tests or work on equipment only after receiving full training.Work as an individual contributor within a team environment.Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals.Essential SkillsDegree in a Life Science disciplineExperience with LC, HPLC, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (this may come from college lab courses).Background in chemistry and laboratory practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work under pressure with quick turnaround times.Knowledge of FDA regulations and quality control.Strong communication skills to interact with team members at various levels.Ability to work independently after showing competency during training.Understanding of GMP and GLP standards.Proficiency in using UV-VIS, pH, and gc-ms equipment.Work Environment

The position is within a standard lab environment regulated by cGMP and FDA. You will work in the API Lab where samples come in from manufacturing with turnaround times between 2 and 24 hours. The role involves daily team meetings to discuss goals and tasks. Training involves shadowing an Analyst or Scientist, performing tests under supervision, and eventually working independently upon demonstrating competency.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
