The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration and has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining). Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook Overview As an In-Room Dining Busperson, you would be responsible for returning room service equipment from guest floors and public areas of hotel via a cart to appropriate ware washing area in order to keep public areas presentable. You will also sort / clean tables and trays so equipment is available for future orders.. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: Retrieve room service equipment (including but not limited to trays, linen and trash) from guest floors, foyers and public areas, lifting, loading and carrying trays weighing up to 50 lbs., or pushing wheeled carts to sort items at ware wash area. Clean tables and trays being careful not to break or damage any tableware. Return condiments and other equipment to proper storage areas. Assist food servers in setting up trays and tables so as to be ready for incoming orders. Restock necessary supplies for efficient guest service Attend mandatory Perform all assigned sidework such as folding napkins for an adequate Keep work area clean and Complete other duties as assigned by Maintain knowledge about the resort and its amenities. Familiarization of in-house guests, and address guests by name when possible. This is a part-time position, and you must have flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts for this position are between the hours of 7am - 11pm. Qualifications Prior food and beverage / busperson experience, preferred Food Handlers Car, preferred Ability to work in a fast-pace environment with a sense of urgency. Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures. Professional. Team player.
