Rosewood Hotels and Resorts is looking for an In-Room Dining Order Taker (Temporary).

Responsibilities

Accurately take guest orders by means of phone. Follow established phone courtesy standards and courtesy standards. Make knowledgeable, informed and articulate recommendations and suggestions regarding all menu items per the standard. Coordinate with housekeeping for pick-up of guest trays and tables after completion of guest meal. Direct guest to correct department if looking for other information or services. If guest calls to order amenities, cakes or flowers, fill out appropriate form and follow procedures by informing all departments involved. Log all orders and amenities outside of order form. Ensure that all tasks are maintained to The Carlyle level on a daily basis. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards. Participate in quality control activities. Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Models the company’s culture, vision and mission and core values at all times. All other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Possess complete knowledge of the hotel and PMS and POS system as it relates to amenities and guest preferences/notesMust be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Organize, follow up and be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems with good judgement Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred. Education: High school diploma

Experience

·         Minimum one year’s experience as a room service order taker, preferably for a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel.

Compensation: $29.21 - $38.95
