In-stock Manager II, Amazon
Description The Amazon Fresh Grocery team is looking for a Private Brands In-stock Manager based in Seattle, WA; NYC, NY; Arlington, VA or Chicago, IL. In this role, you will own developing plans and executing on initiatives that will support excellent inventory management for Amazon’s in-house grocery brands, build an effective supply chain, and drive successful interactions with our partner teams. To be successful in this role, you should feel comfortable using data to influence others and building scalable systems and processes to allow the Amazon Private Brands business to grow. In joining this team, you will have the opportunity to both build and operate in an ambiguous fast-paced environment and will drive initiatives that improve sales, customer experience, and process improvement within retail and operations. The successful candidate must be highly organized, self-starting and possess strong data extraction and analytical capabilities. They must demonstrate passion for the customer experience. They must be fearless but thoughtful in their pursuit of results and thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in fundamental business principles and previous Supply Chain Management experience. The ideal candidate is also able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy. Key job responsibilities A successful Private Brands In-stock Manager will: 1. Manage Must-have selection and inventory availability maintaining above 93% in-stock ratio 2. Analyze internal and external data to identify opportunity areas for must-have selection. 3. Collaborate with the category team to optimize the must-have assortment and deliver high availability. 4. Adjust buying plans and allocation strategies to improve in-stock position. 5. Work closely with the technology team to run pilots, develop tools and scale learnings. 6. Develop and implement processes to proactively maintain optimal in-stock levels for must-have and fast-moving items. 7. Develop reporting to monitor selection performance Basic Qualifications - 4+ years of with Excel experience - 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience - Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing - Able to lead without authority owning cross functional projects and maintaining peers accountable for deliverables that may have an impact on In-stock metrics or customer experience. - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address supply and demand imbalances and recommend solutions. - Capacity to build new tools and processes to meet inventory targets. - Ability to travel 25% of the time and that have flexibility with business hours to meet customer’s needs. - Medium SQL skills Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control - Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
