Under general supervision, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for the overall safety, productivity, and quality within the warehouse. The Warehouse Lead works closely with leadership and all functional areas in the warehouse to ensure both excellent customer service and efficient warehousing objectives are met. This individual will monitor workflow to ensure daily operations are executed properly and efficiently.  As a team lead in the service center, you will be expected to demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate, and coach team members.

 Key Accountabilities

Communicate daily production needs with Warehouse Manager and associates throughout each shift.

Ensures the warehouse is a safe environment and 5s standards are being met.

Assigns and leads work as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

Verifies all orders are fulfilled accurately and timely.

Assists in providing coaching and training to all associates; identifies and discusses mistakes with associate to provide opportunity for associates’ continuous improvement.

Oversees the warehouse area has adequate supplies and materials.

Ensures that all equipment is in proper working condition.

Support continuous improvement activities

 Qualifications/Requirements

3 – 7 years of warehouse shipping/receiving

Proven ability to effectively lead a team

High School Degree or equivalent

On a continuous basis: work in a standing position, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.

Familiarity with both LTL and UPS shipping

Excellent communication, data entry, basic math and organization skills

Experience working with standard hand and power tools

Ability to work in a team setting
