Required education and certifications critical for the role-
+ Graduate, numerate degree preferred such as Mathematics / Statistics / Economics and have cleared at least two core actuarial exams.
Required years of experience –
+ Relevant industry knowledge and minimum work experience of 2-4 years (Financial Reporting (IFRS, Solvency II), Capital Modelling on Global Regulations Solvency II, NAIC & Bermuda Solvency Capital Reporting)

INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUSINESS
AON’s Life Actuarial team works as consultants to quantify the economic costs and benefits of any risk transfer solutions. The team’s work combines state of the art experience and exposure rating techniques, with informed, relevant line of business expertise and sophisticated models (Tyche, Remetrica & Pathwise). In addition, the team also engages in numerous custom client engagements each year on topics ranging from reserving, enterprise risk management and capital modeling / reporting.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
Work revolves around the following actuarial fields:
+ Capital reporting
+ Reserving
+ Model calculations
+ Reinsurance claims support
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Develop client-specific knowledge to deliver on the Financial Reporting and other consulting support services
+ Compliance and drive usage of various processes, templates, precedents, and models compliance guidelines as a competent contributor
+ Develop understanding of the wider context big picture view of the technical calculations and key primary drivers of the results
+ Demonstrate good understanding on regulatory environment and actuarial professional requirements
+ Maintaining and building learning resources for the team, such as best practices sharing or training materials for types of work
+ Develop knowledge of modelling tools to support the clients in actuarial calculations
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
+ Invests time at the beginning of the process to minimize role in day-to-day aspects.
+ Logical and problem-solving skills.
+ Analytical abilities.
+ Technical understanding of Life insurance products (Knowledge of non life products will be added advantage)
+ Understanding of insurance & reinsurance contracts
+ Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment by being respectful and supportive of others, communicating openly and constructively and being an active listener.
+ Exam progress: Cleared at least 3 actuarial exams as of 13th Dec 2024
