Salary: £25,731 - £27,870 per annum pro rata

Permanent Contract

Part-time Hours: We are recruiting to 2x 21hr posts

The Friendship at Home Service is designed to provide main caregivers with some respite time from their caregiving role, knowing that their loved one is safely receiving good quality companionship and supervision.

We are currently looking for Care Workers who can work within Thurrock in our community Friendship at Home team. Our current service is provided Monday to Friday (except bank holidays).The sits we provide are usually commissioned in 3-hour blocks (1 session) in the mornings and afternoons.

Full Driving Licence, business insurance (to cover use for work) and access to your own vehicle required for working in the Community – mileage paid at 45p per mile.

The successful candidate will need to always have a professional attitude and have knowledge around the understanding of Dementia, Behaviours that may be challenging, Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity,  Adaptable communication, effective listening & working as part of a team and working independently. 

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for adults is required at Enhanced plus Adults Barred List level.
