Indirect Procurement Manager - Beachwood, Ohio

We provide new solutions to satisfy industry demand for specific structure strengths while understanding the need for sustainability and environmental consciousness. **Role Overview:** To provide professional procurement service and support to help manage key vendor contracts and agreements within the categories of services, dispensers, logistics and travel. This position will manage a team tasked to evaluate and leverage best value, cost, and service. In scope will be tracking and supporting RFQs, RFPs and negotiations for extension, as well as exploring alternative sourcing and innovations that can bring additional value and cost savings to the organization. This role will also directly manage our fleet and travel programs, providing support for internal users, tracking and publishing key metrics, and ensure we leverage best practices to contain cost. **Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:** + Point person for all indirect inquiries and escalations that require communication and collaboration with the V.P. of Operations and other members of the Core Leadership Team (CLT) for North America. + The position will collaborate with other function and department managers to assess and prioritize which vendor agreements/contracts will be in scope for indirect procurement oversight and tracking (in the categories of services, dispensers, logistics and travel). + The position will collaborate with the global indirect procurement manager to the extent of alignment on process controls and best practices. + Lead, manage and coach a team of specialists focused on providing expertise and analytics to support indirect procurement activities. Assignment of duties and area of focus/scope for the specialists at the discretion of the indirect procurement manager. This may include ongoing support to manage and track activities of designated vendors as agreed to by V.P. of Operations. + Report monthly and YTD metrics for KPI’s within scope for indirect procurement through transparent and relatable means (various communication methods); this will include reporting progress and tracking for any Value Creating Workstreams (VCPs), within the scope of indirect procurement, which will be tracked for Year Over Year improvement to target. + Review, revise, and maintain the necessary indirect procurement documentation and record keeping in line with our policies and best practices. + Collaborate with HR on any policy updates/reviews (in scope with services, dispensers, logistics and travel) to ensure we maintain clear, concise, and well-constructed policy guidance for our employees. + This position will be part of the team to assess new business opportunities from an indirect procurement perspective, as it relates to innovative technologies, new services, new vendors, etc. + Additional duties and collaborations as assigned by V.P. of Operations **Responsibilities and Qualifications:** **Education & Working Experience** + 4-year degree with 10 years of experience in procurement in the construction chemical industry (preferred), or a similar manufacturing/construction related industry. Familiarity with travel management and understanding of logistics and operations is also desirable. **Professional Knowledge & Skills** + Strong analytical skills with a practical approach to provide the V.P. of Operations and CLT with options to how we navigate challenges and solve problems. + Strong interpersonal skills and a team collaborator (at times will need to lead projects and calls, drive actions, while also able to play support role and collaborator). + Effective communication skills up chain of command, within peer network, and in professionally representing the organization to external agencies and vendors. + Self-motivated with a structured working style, discipline with deadlines and timeliness with administrative duties. + Self-motivated, self-driven, good coach and mentor, able to recognize and develop talent. + Strong critical thinking skills under pressure, optimistic bias, confident leadership through demonstrable actions and engagement. + Travel required as necessary for meetings, vendor visits, site visits, etc. (<20%). **What We Offer:** As an employee of Master Builder Solutions, you will enjoy competitive health and insurance plans, robust retirement benefits with company-matching contributions, and continuous opportunities for learning and growth.
