About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a talented procurement professional to support the development of the future regional procurement organisation while leading exciting local and at times, regional projects. The Indirect Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading the development and implementation of progressive, fit for purpose and future proof sourcing strategies that deliver economic and cost efficiencies, supply assurance and quality as to enable spend owners, business units and functional partners to maximize the value they receive from vendors to meet their objectives.

Working closely with the Regional and Global procurement teams, this role is expected to help identify and screen suppliers, developing strategic relationships, negotiate terms and conditions, and continuously drive improved supplier service levels through leadership and direction on a cross functional basis. 

This role will ensure procurement strategies, processes, and program executions are fully integrated to support internal budget business plans and Company objectives and will actively collaborate with stakeholders globally to ensure that our knowledge, relationships, and investments are effectively and efficiently leveraged. 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Key responsibility is to manage categories across Australia and New Zealand. Key point of contact for Global Procurement (Group) for your categories in APAC; works closely with the Global Procurement Category Manager. Single point of contact for all Regional vendors regarding negotiating local and regional contracts Coordination and support of regional deployment and execution of Global contacts  Development of regional categories, including identification and negotiation of all non-global contract related pricing opportunities Develop and implement sourcing strategies that provide a competitive market advantage.  Develop and foster strategic supplier relationships that deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement and innovation.  Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders to be considered a trusted strategic advisor by identifying, understanding, and fulfilling business needs. Negotiate supplier agreements that align with the interests of the Company and comply with policies.  Support the business with day-to-day Procurement activities.  Lead the adoption of our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system in Australia.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years as Category manager. Experience managing Marketing spend (Media offline, Digital Media, Marketing print, Creative agencies) or IT spend is a plus. Experience in negotiating and finalizing business terms and conditions for supplier contracts. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, communicate effectively and influence  Good analytic skills Experience in a global or highly matrixed organization is a plus.  Curious and learning agility Self-starter, autonomous, energetic and willing to leave a legacy Team player with a strong sense of ownership Ability to analyze, prioritize and lead numerous Procurement Initiatives and contract negotiations simultaneously Experience with MS Word and Excel is required
