As an Indirect Regional Supplier Manager, you will develop category strategies, validate them with Global and Regional Category Managers, and collaborate with internal and external partners. You will conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, plan and implement bargaining using supplier and industry analysis, and handle costs. You will build positive relationships with internal partners, driving outstanding cost, supply, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing

Recommend resource levels across procurement sourcing categories, projects, and functions.Implement processes to supervise partner satisfaction with key suppliers.Recommend targets to improve value, such as high revenue, spend reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services, and supplier management.Analyze sourcing trends and make recommendations for assigned categories.Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting.Cost Management & AnalysisIdentify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers.Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets.Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal partners.Apply should-cost models that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace.NegotiationLead or participate in bargaining sessions for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.Lead sourcing events/RFQ processes into bundled bargaining sessions.Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into bargaining sessions.Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and build, negotiate, monitor, and implement contracted terms and conditions.Business PartneringCollaborate with partners to deliver strategic solutions.Cultivate and improve knowledge in the designated spending categories by collaborating with key collaborators.Drive a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement.RequirementsBachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study.Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Indirect Procurement or related fields such as Engineering, Construction, Tool Install/Hook-up, Quantity Surveyor, Purchasing/Procurement, Supplier/Partner Relations/Supply ChainPreferred certifications: APICS, PMI, CPM, CPSM, or other related fields of study.Proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia, both verbal & written; any other Asian language is an added advantage.Experienced in a category management role, preferably in the semiconductor or technology industry.Validated experience in strategic sourcing.Strong in negotiation and communication skills.Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
