POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the procurement of indirect goods and services essential for the smooth operation of the organization. This entry-level position involves assisting in the sourcing process, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the procurement of IT materials & services, marketing, facilities management and other indirect categories. The role is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge of procurement who is eager to grow in the field.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist in developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned categories. Conduct preliminary market research to identify potential suppliers and gather pricing information. Help prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotes (RFQs), Request for Information (RFI) and other sourcing documents. Assist in evaluating supplier proposals and performance. Support the negotiation of pricing and terms under the guidance of Enterprise Procurement Director. Maintain updated records of vendor information and performance metrics. Process purchase requisition and purchase orders and track their status if necessary. Support the Business to ensure timely delivery of goods and services in accordance with contract terms when necessary. Handle Business inquiries and issues related to procurement and supplier performance. Assist in analyzing spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Support budget tracking and ensure adherence to financial guidelines. Ensure procurement activities comply with the procurement policy and process. Maintain accurate and up-to-date necessary procurement records and documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to understand their procurement needs. Provide administrative support to the Enterprise Procurement Director. Assist in preparing reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and vendor performance. Utilize procurement software and tools for data entry and report generation Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. One (1) to two (2) years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related role is preferred but not required.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Basic understanding of procurement processes and supplier management. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with procurement software or systems is a plus.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift 40 lbs. Ability to travel up to 5% with some overnight travel required Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements
