As a Sourcing Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the strategy development and implementation for assigned indirect categories in alignment with the overall Indirect Strategy. You will manage the supply base to ensure that all suppliers meet our priorities: Delivery, Quality, and Cost Competitiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
What You Will Do:
Identifies, develops, and implements Indirect Sourcing strategies to reduce Total Cost of Ownership, mitigate headwinds, and improve security of supply.
Provides leadership, coaching and feedback on the Total Cost of Ownership (RFP, RFI, RFQ) sourcing process to build capability and mature practices across a global team.
Effectively communicates strategies, results, and metrics to senior leadership. Champions Global Strategic Sourcing across the enterprise and educates on the value of partnership.
Develops contract strategies and effectively negotiates key commercial and supply positions to the benefit of Polaris business requirements and goals.
Stays abreast of industry trends for Indirect Sourcing categories. Provides guidance and recommendations to Business Units to support margin and top line growth.
Effectively implements strategic supplier strategies and initiatives to achieve maximum value.
Develops, aligns, and drives strategic projects to improve Indirect Sourcing processes, tools, and efficiencies.

Supplier Relations:
Manage assigned and establish new supplier relationships to ensure sufficient communication and alignment between the suppliers and Polaris. Negotiate and execute situationally appropriate agreements with input from cross-functional partners.
Create, conduct, and manage, the full lifecycle of business specific sourcing events and/or projects.
Leverage the size and scale of Polaris operations in supply base negotiations. Identify opportunities for reconciliation and optimization that drive adoption of P2P practices.
Rationalize the supply base within assigned categories. Use strategic practices such as segmentation and consolidation to grow spend under management.
Execute projects that drive key initiatives. Identify and complete process improvements. Support Indirect Sourcing’s developmental roadmap and maturation.
Manage projects through indirect processes and systems as required.
Category or GBU Strategy:
Execute on the multi-year vision for the indirect category or GBU strategy, with input from the internal customers, purchasing goals, risk, future growth plans, and broader supply chain strategy.
Manages sourcing projects and support functions across multiple categories. Aligns negotiation goals to indirect, GBU, and company priorities, to maximize the impact of outcomes.
Sourcing Priority Management:
Based on the category strategy and goals, establish spend and cost reduction strategies with quantifiable targets. Collaborate with stakeholders to deploy and achieve those targets over an extended term.
Utilize fact-based negotiation, industry benchmarking, competitive market analysis, spend reporting, and other available resources to initiate and complete projects.
Establish contractual commitments that achieve long-term cost savings, support company goals, mitigate risk, and advance future growth strategies.
Effectively manage multiple competing projects and priorities at one time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or applicable field preferred.
Professional certification or desire to pursue ongoing professional development.
4+ years of project management, purchasing, business services, or relevant fields preferred. Multiple years of indirect sourcing experience strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills and experience interacting with diverse audiences. Can effectively communicate with leadership, up to and including executives.
Experience leading complex negotiations and/or projects with suppliers, stakeholders, and other partners.
Experience in any professional service, engineering, human resources, marketing, travel, asset management, IT, or facility services strongly preferred.
Highly proficient with legal agreements, contracting processes, contract drafting, or related activities, strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
Effective negotiation, decision making, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Operates independently and decisively when faced with ambiguity. Is resilient, solution focused, and accountable in challenging circumstances.
Highly organized and effective in managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

Experience presenting and speaking to large audiences. Expected to present information to leadership as required.
Knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, systems, and ability to assist in tasks assigned by Project Managers.
