Our Global Tax Team provides support and advice for all tax accrual processes for Baker Hughes, including forecasting, tax provision, quarterly and annual close and settlement. We are in contact with local and regional business controller-ship teams to provide expert tax advice and processes to the business.

By joining the Baker Hughes India Indirect Tax Group, you will be part of a team of GST, VAT, and Service Tax experts who provide Baker Hughes product companies industry-leading indirect tax compliance and advisory services. These services include tax return preparation and filing, resolving tax notices and tax authority inquiries, account reconciliations, tax research and planning and audit support.
As an Indirect Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Providing end to end Indirect Taxation Litigation, Audits, Compliance services such as GST returns, GST credit Reconciliations, GST refunds, and STIP & SEZ Compliances within stipulated timelines at the direction of the India GST Compliance Manager.Resolving indirect tax issues pertaining to Pre GST regimes such as VAT, Service Tax, Custom matters including Refunds, SVB, AEO etc.Preparing reconciliations for balances appearing in books vis-Ã -vis returns with supporting details on a monthly basis.Assisting Baker Hughes tax managers in implanting tax strategies and tax effective business models.Ensuring that correct tax accounting practices and processes are followed and balance sheet positions and contingent liabilities are correctly computed and accounted for.Preparing schedules and supporting information for external consultants in respect of appellate proceedings pending at higher appellate forums for direct & indirect tax matters at the direction of Baker Hughes tax managers.Providing internal support to finance team for completion of statutory, internal & group auditsProviding transactional support services to cross functional teams in connection with taxation matters along with review of tender-bid documents / inter group agreements from tax perspective.·Assisting advisory team in liaison with tax authorities for all indirect tax matters like GST department audits, Service tax & VAT audit and replying to routine notices issued by various tax authorities on PAN India basis.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Be a Chartered Accountant with at least 3-5 years relevant experience with any Big 4 or MNC.Have knowledge and working experience of Indirect Tax with any large MNC is required.Have expertise in SAP, tools like Blackline, BI, Alteryx, Excel, is desired.Be a team player and be able to interact, educate and influence both tax and non-tax professionals on tax-technical matters.Should be able to discuss tax technical matters in various cross-functional team settingsHave hands on experience in complex B2B environment.Work in a way that works for you
