Indirect Tax Compliance Manager

You will:
- Review Morgan Stanley's indirect tax returns and become the focal point of assigned countries in EMEA/APAC/JAPAN jurisdictions
- Oversee tax return preparation, support and guide junior team members
- Perform detailed reviews of indirect tax returns and relating balance sheet and expense reconciliations.
- Improve the automation and standardization of various processes.
- Contribute to projects, support tax audits and work closely with key contacts across locations.
- Develop practical knowledge of the Firm's business and understand how your role fits into it.

You will:

You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field and min 5 year of experience preferably in the area of indirect tax compliance
- People management experience is an advantage
- Sound numeric skills and accuracy.
- Deep organizational skills and ability to deal with multiple issues and under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Fluency in English
- Professional accounting or tax adviser qualification/studying (ACCA, CIMA, CTA or equivalent) is an advantage

Team Profile: The Indirect Tax group provides Morgan Stanley with global in-house expertise, primarily in VAT/GST and US Non-Income Tax. The team in Budapest has recently increased its global footprint and become the central location of the global indirect tax coverage.
