Indirect Tax Manager
Overview Salary: $92,000 to $115,000 Annually Are you ready to take the lead in indirect tax compliance and strategy? Join Ozinga as our next Indirect Tax Manager, where you'll ensure compliance, optimize tax efficiency, and support business operations across multiple jurisdictions. What You’ll Do: Indirect Tax Compliance & Reporting: • Prepare and submit indirect tax returns (e.g., sales & use tax, GST, excise) within deadlines. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal indirect tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. • Monitor and manage indirect tax audits, providing necessary support and documentation to tax authorities. Tax Strategy & Risk Management: • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize Ozinga’s indirect tax position. • Identify potential tax risks and opportunities, advising on mitigation strategies. • Analyze and provide guidance on new business initiatives, contracts, and system changes. Process Improvement & Technology: • Assess and enhance indirect tax systems, tools, and processes for efficiency and compliance. • Support the implementation of new tax-related technology or software. • Develop and maintain internal indirect tax policies and procedures. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Serve as a resource to HR, billing, and accounting teams on indirect tax matters. • Work closely with legal, finance, supply chain, and operations to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions. What We’re Looking For: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation and CPA/CTA preferred. • Experience: 6+ years in indirect tax, with expertise in compliance, audits, and tax planning. • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of indirect tax laws and experience with tax technology & ERP systems. • Abilities: Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
