Individual Sales and Retention Representative
Job Summary

Provide excellent customer service to Individual and Medicare members. Build and maintain strong relationships with members to ensure ongoing retention. Support other team staff to maintain and grow membership and sales in new and existing markets.

Essential Functions

Individual member Retention. Manage all aspects of the identified Medicare/Individual membership. This population requires benefit consulting, relationship building, problem solving, data analysis and solution implementation.

Ongoing efforts to maintain retention through outbound campaign initiatives to retain most profitable members.

Retain and increase membership, in addition to improving service to members and agents.

Identify opportunities to sell new products, services and replace other carriers/service providers.

Generates and acts upon leads for new sales and the sales of replacement and add-on products. Initiates telephonic follow-up and/or outreach.

Provides sales and service to customers for health and ancillary insurance products (this interaction with the customer will be by telephone, and via email inquiries).

Analyzes prospective customer needs and matches to appropriate product to contribute to continued profitability margins of the corporation.

Represent interest of and perspective of the Individual/Medicare population in team meetings and planning sessions.

Strategize issues and opportunities with other staff to incorporate member perspective in -Priority Health and Corewell Health’s goals and objectives.

Participate in other internal committees to help achieve company and membership goals where appropriate.

Meet with teams internally to discuss growth and develop plans for retention strategies.

Meetings for ongoing collaboration efforts as needed.

Attend continuing education classes to maintain active Life and Health agent licenses.

Attend diversity and inclusion to maximum communication efforts with current and prospective members.

Maintain and ensure all levels of compliance.

Member Outreach for collection payments: focus on collection of premiums at point of sale however ongoing member communication for continued collection is a priority.

Analyzes prospective customer needs and matches to appropriate product to contribute to continued to profitability margins of the corporation.

Presents and explains various recommended products, benefits, features, and alternatives to the customer.

Explains company sales, application requirements, and enrollment processes to set realistic customer expectations.

Contribute to start rating through ongoing member communication and feedback

Implement measures to change member behavior. This involves forward thinking and idea creation.

De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied customers by offering assistance and support.

Product Innovation and development.

Qualifications

Required

2 years of relevant experience

LIC-Health Agent License - STATE_MI State of Michigan

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree a related field

Knowledge of healthcare industry.
