We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic Construction Project Supervisor/Inspector to join our team in Southeast Indiana. The qualified applicant will provide Construction Inspection experience for LPA and INDOT projects and will be an organized individual ready to step into a project management position. Long term you will help support projects in the Seymour District.

ResponsibilitiesBe familiar with company, client, government, and industry standards.Observe and monitor construction for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings/material submittals.Record field observations and determine the acceptability of construction work performed.Monitor contractor’s quality control and verify construction conforms to the contractor’s quality control plan.Make field measurements, computations, and records of acceptable work.Prepare reports outlining the work performed and the quality of completed work acceptable for payment.Calculate the quantity of acceptable completed work for payment.Review and verify contractor’s payment applications, proposals, and change order requests.Coordinate construction activities with the owner and assist the Project Manager with client-related construction issues.Prepare and maintain project records in accordance with company, client, and government standards.Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys.Perform other related duties as assigned.Ideal Skills2-5+ years of INDOT inspection experience working as a Project Supervisor or similar role.Ability to manage a project from start to finish, including all paperwork and oversight of inspectors.INDOT Certified or hold a Civil Engineering degree.Site Manager certification.Experience as a construction inspector with management responsibilities.Familiarity with field notes, as-built, civil engineering construction, and roadway construction.Additional Skills & QualificationsUp-to-date knowledge of materials testing methods.Willingness to work in inclement weather.No need for additional training or supervision.Work Environment

The construction project supervisor will be working outside in various weather conditions. They will work either out of their truck or out of a field office trailer. This is a hands-off inspection position, where the supervisor will perform visual inspections. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
