Industrial Butchers
Slaughter livestock using stunning devices and knivesSkin, clean and trim carcassesRemove viscera and other inedible parts from carcassesSplit carcasses into smaller portions to facilitate handlingMay slaughter cattle, calves as prescribed by religious lawsIndustrial Meat Cutters
Cut beef carcasses or sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packagingRemove bones from meatCut meat into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale useRemove skin, excess fat, bruises or other blemishes from carcasses or meat portions
Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
Minimum of 2 years of industrial butchering experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience in meat processing and packing environment using manual cutting utensils and band saws
