GFL is looking for experienced Industrial Field Supervisors to join our team for various short and long term shutdown projects in Western Canada. The Candidate would work closely with project managers to ensure all projects are done safely and on schedule. This position offers seasonal employment starting in the spring with potential to work late into the fall with the possibility of extensions.

Job Duties:

Oversee work crew and monitor day to day performanceOrganize and delegate workers tasks Continuously monitor workers for performance and identify areas of improvementEstablish and maintain GFL culture of “Save for Life” and ensure workers performance is in line with expectationsMonitor schedule and project milestonesProvide on the job training and mentor workersIntervene and coach workers on policies and procedures

Experience and Qualifications:

Leadership and team management skills 

Attention to detail 

Problem-solving and decision-making skills 

Excellent communication skills 

Knowledge and expertise in industrial/chemical cleaning 

Time-management and organizational skills 

Ability to motivate a team 

Requires class 5 license, class 1 or 3 are an asset 

Working Conditions:

Able to work nightshifts and up to 12 hour shifts, including in inclement weather. 

Able to work at heights and enter confined spaces 

Capable of standing for long durations, climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
