The Industrial Controls Technician maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components, welding and machining a plus. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing for the unionized plant. Position will be on an off shift. Electrical Troubleshooting up to PLC Programming required with Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred.

Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed. Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting. Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees. Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levelsPerforming emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operationsPerforming electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as neededInstalling wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, and machineryReplacing faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners and photo electric devicesDiagnosing and repair/replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boardsTroubleshooting drives, i.e. AC and DC Reading electrical block diagrams, schematics as well as PLC ladder logicAble to troubleshoot and program PLCDesign and create electrical line drawings and schematicsMaintaining clean and organized work areas, and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasksAccurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records and other paperworkPerforms other duties as required. The starting rate for this position is $41.62 - $45.88, depending on your role, level and location.
