This unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and Globally. Additional activities are planned throughout the internship period to provide opportunity to network with SBD professionals. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity and self-confidence. Interns must be team oriented and able to work collaboratively. **About the role** This person assists higher-level industrial designers in the conceptualization and development of new products. Work is of moderate difficulty and limited scope with specific and detailed instructions. This person must create the documentation necessary to convey design solutions to higher level Industrial Designers through either 2D or 3D means. These would include Cintiq sketches, Autodesk Alias or CATIA product concepts, KeyShot renderings, Gravity Sketch concepts, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, product graphic labeling or Powerpoint presentations to deliver and communicate consumer focused product design concepts. **What You’ll Do** + Responsible for all product design work in an assigned area of a project. + Assists UI/UX designers on specific portions of projects as necessary. + Work with other designers to develop preliminary product concepts on potential new products or features. + Document weekly time sheets for all assigned projects. + Provide higher level Industrial Designers support as necessary including renderings, presentations and field research. + Maintain effective channels of communication with all project team personnel **Who You Are** You always strive to do a good job but wouldn’t it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good? The Summer Quality Engineering intern candidate will preferably have the following qualifications: + Rising Junior or Senior, Target graduation date in 2026 or 2027 + Currently pursuing Industrial design program + Strong Academic Credentials, communication and computer skills. + Successfully manage strong academics with extracurricular activities. + Must meet ITAR compliance.
