We are seeking an experienced and visionary Industrial Designer to lead the creation of immersive experiences and shape user journey strategies informed by deep user research. In this strategic role, you will conceptualize, design, and deliver exceptional experiences that seamlessly integrate brand identity, customer insights, and business objectives. By connecting design thinking with data-driven user research, you will influence how users engage, driving meaningful and memorable interactions.
What you will do:
+ Develop and implement user journey strategies informed by research insights to shape impactful experiences.
+ Lead the vision and roadmap for innovative concepts, ensuring alignment with brand and business goals.
+ Design flexible, modular systems and optimize layouts to enhance functionality, engagement, and adaptability.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and user research, to ensure cohesive and user-centered designs.
+ Prototype and refine design elements in partnership with vendors and engineering teams, ensuring feasibility and quality.
+ Stay at the forefront of design trends, technologies, and consumer behavior to inspire and drive innovation.
This is a hybrid US role in San Diego, CA.
Requirements
We would love to have you on our team if you have:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or equivalent professional experience.
+ 3+ years of experience in commercial or experiential design
+ Strong expertise in user journey strategy development and integrating user research into design execution.
+ Proven ability to analyze customer insights and translate them into innovative, functional solutions.
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
+ Passion for continuous learning and driving innovation in design and user engagement.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
+ Region 2: $130,000 - $163,000
