Are you ready to start a new career with a LEADER in the industry and WORLD CLASS team! What we offer:Competitive hourly pay with OT opportunities Annual Pay IncreasesPTO Available as of DAY ONEOpportunities to grow with companyGuaranteed to be home every day401(k) plan with company matchEmployee Pension plan (at no cost to employees)Full Medical, Health & Wellness Benefits start on FIRST DAY This position is located at our Snyder Quarry Position Summary Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the primary function of the Electrical/Instrument Technician is to maintain, calibrate, perform trouble analysis, consult, research, and develop process control instrumentation for the purpose of obtaining optimum production efficiency. RequirementsCoordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades, including those related to plant controls for mining operationsTroubleshoot AC / DC motor controls and drives for underground as well as surface limestone mineActively research potential upgrades in automation and fine-tune existing plant to improve safety, efficiencies, plant capacities, consistency, availability and reportingWork closely with engineering group and outside contracted vendors to meet deadlines and complete capital improvement projectsSupport corporate safety culture and perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulationsLead by example on all MMM safety rules/procedures and MSHA compliance standards and ensure that all employees are following established safety policies and proceduresEncourage employees to participate in Guardian Angel activities Minimum Education and Experience2 year technical degree in electrical or comparable experience preferredCertified / licensed Electrician preferred5 years’ experience in aggregates or similar industry desiredPrevious experience as journeyman preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Outstanding vendor relations skills (internal and external contractors)Must be willing to be on callWorking knowledge of high voltage electrical systems requiredSkilled in the use of hand tools, test instruments and electrical construction toolsExperience with PLC’s/VFD's/Soft Start Sensor preferred Working Conditions Work is typically completed outside in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry.  May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
