The Industrial Electrician is responsible for supporting all functions and departments in the Distribution Centre by ensuring smooth and safe operation of all equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

Follow all mechanical and electrical work instructions and proceduresComply with Electrical Safety Authority requirementsRead electrical drawings for conveyors,Carry on preventative maintenance and repair for electrical panelsInstall and troubleshooting PLC modules and electronics devicesHave basic PLC programing and control logic skills Install and program AC Drives and controlMaintain and repair building lighting systemRepair electrical problems for dock doors control panels and battery machine battery chargersFix power supply (120VAC – 600VAC) problems for buildingInstall power supply and control wires for new equipment as requiredOrder electrical parts from Suppliers and monitor parts inventoryHave basic computer skills to access emails, windowsPlan and implement projects to improve the operation of the conveyor systemTrain maintenance technicians to improve their electrical knowledgeWork with service contractors to repair / maintain building and production equipmentOperate man lift machines and power machinesMay be responsible for coordinating the maintenance daily workflow and support the other teamParticipates in analytical problem solving and can make decisions relating to each problem encounteredEnsure all works are completed according to electrical code in a timely manner

Education and Experience:

Government Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Electrician 442A or 309A3-5 years of experience in an automated distribution environmentBasic PLC troubleshooting experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong team player skills and support the maintenance team
