**Industrial Electrician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience working in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining various electrical equipment, utilizing computer-based software, and ensuring the proper use of tools and safety protocols.
**Responsibilities**
+ Receive work instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to perform scheduled, emergency, and routine repairs, calibrations, and preventative maintenance.
+ Interpret drawings and sketches to determine the best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
+ Repair, rebuild, and test electrical components to ensure equipment is back up and running efficiently.
+ Troubleshoot electrical systems using ladder logic, electrical prints, and schematics, with knowledge of 3-phase electricity.
+ Work with various equipment including AC/DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, electronic scales, power distribution, communication systems, and motor drives.
+ Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functioning of required tools and equipment.
+ Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
+ Diagnose problems and failures and repair a variety of equipment such as presses and machines.
+ Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting and repair purposes.
**Essential Skills**
+ Five years of experience in an industrial plant/manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to use computer-based software to complete job tasks.
+ Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLC-based equipment.
+ Knowledge of working with AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, inverters, and motor drives.
+ Proficiency in print reading, drawing interpretation, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
+ Proper use of tools and measuring devices with a safe work mentality.
+ Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using ladder logic, electrical prints, and schematics.
+ Experience with 3-phase electricity and troubleshooting motor drives.
+ Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic press systems and programmable controls.
+ Experience using multi-meters and working with 3-phase motors.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma.
+ 3-5 years of experience working as an industrial electrician in heavy industrial facilities.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, including PLCs from GE and Allen Bradley, VFDs, HMIs, and 480V systems.

**Work Environment**
Work in a non-climate controlled environment where temperatures vary with the seasons. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times. The position involves working a swing shift of 4/12s, with rotating days and nights, paired up in teams of an electrician and a millwright.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MOBILE, Alabama.
