Industrial Electrician
**Job Title: Industrial Electrician** **Shift: 2-2-3 rotating schedule 7PM-7AM for 9 weeks then 7AM-7PM for 9 weeks** **Pay Rate: $30-$38/hour** **Job Description** We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician to join our team. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing major breakdowns of production and plant equipment, providing preventive maintenance service, and performing project work as designated. This position requires a high standard of safety practices and a strong ability to work collaboratively with other plant personnel. **Responsibilities** + Receive work assignments from the Maintenance Team Leader. + Set a high standard of performance for safe work practices according to plant and industry safety standards. + Answer calls for electrical issues as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader and daily priority list. + Troubleshoot and repair major breakdowns of production and plant equipment. + Provide proper follow-up to ensure that problems are fixed and do not reoccur. + Perform preventive maintenance on scheduled equipment. + Perform project work designated by the supervisor when not answering calls. + Repair defective items removed from equipment as bench work. + Review daily work history with the electrician on the next shift. + Assist all plant personnel in understanding the correct operation of equipment. + Suggest ways to improve current equipment and devices to reduce costs. + Update preventive maintenance sheets. + Follow Maintenance Department policies and procedures. + Utilize every resource available to further your knowledge of production/building equipment. + Fill in for the Maintenance Team Leader during their absence. **Essential Skills** + Electrical troubleshooting + Industrial electrical knowledge + Understanding of electrical schematics + Knowledge of hydraulics + PLC troubleshooting and installation + Experience with 480V, lock out tag out, and 3-phase motors + Ability to diagnose electrical issues **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma required + Familiarity with basic electronics + Mechanical inclination + Basic math skills and computer knowledge + Good understanding of AC and DC motor theory and connections + Proficiency in using analog and digital test equipment + Ability to read relay logic and schematics + Understanding and repairing relay logic circuits + Experience operating lift trucks and man-lift trucks + Understanding and application of national electric code and metric system + Ability to size and plan the installation of simple electrical services + Ability to program and troubleshoot A*B SLC100/150 PLC + Ability to access and understand ladder diagrams of A*B SLC500 & PLC5 PLCs **Why Work Here?** This company offers significant room for growth and the opportunity to learn and perform maintenance on various types of machinery. The shift is a swing shift on a 2-2-3 schedule: 7pm-7am for 9 weeks, then 7am-7pm for 9 weeks, with training on the 7am-7pm schedule for a few weeks. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00 401K with a match Benefits are available on the 1st day of the month following hire.
