**Job Title: Industrial Electrician**
**Job Description**
The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician installs, services, troubleshoots, and performs preventive and predictive maintenance functions on plant equipment. This equipment includes but is not limited to plant lighting equipment, electrical circuits, motors, starters, motor control centers, programmable controllers, control panels, transformers, switches, transmitters, automatic valves, regulators, guide systems, distributed control systems, PLCs, overhead cranes, etc. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, service, and troubleshoot plant lighting equipment, electrical circuits, motors, starters, motor control centers, programmable controllers, control panels, transformers, switches, transmitters, automatic valves, and regulators.
+ Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and wire 120-volt and three-phase 460-volt circuits and electrical equipment.
+ Install and troubleshoot distribution systems up to 460 volts.
+ Repair and install controls such as coils, contactors, relays, and brakes.
+ Install transformers up to 460 volts.
+ Safely rack in and rack out 4160-volt breakers up to 33 kV breakers.
+ Interpret PID, hydraulic, pneumatic, and wiring drawings/diagrams.
+ Wire motors single-phase, three-phase 460 volts, and three-phase 4160 volts according to NEC/OSHA codes.
+ Use and interpret a multimeter for volts, amps, and ohms.
+ Troubleshoot and install switches, including proximity, speed, limit, and pressure switches.
+ Understand and repair guiding systems.
+ Run and bend conduit and pull wire.
+ Troubleshoot control valves and transmitters.
+ Demonstrate general knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems in mills.
+ Understand pneumatic controls including controllers, actuators, positioners, and valves.
+ Locate equipment I/O for various processes.
**Essential Skills**
+ Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical machinery, including conveyor systems, breakers, boilers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Proficient in PLC troubleshooting.
+ Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and instrumentation systems up to 460 volts.
+ Interpretation of PID, hydraulic, pneumatic, and wiring drawings/diagrams.
+ Ability to wire motors and install transformers according to NEC/OSHA codes.
+ Proficiency in using and interpreting a multimeter.
+ Basic understanding of electricity and instrumentation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of computer systems and the ability to learn new complex applications.
+ General understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems in mills.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and install various types of switches and control valves.
+ Experience with running and bending conduit, and pulling wire.
+ Understanding of pneumatic controls including controllers, actuators, positioners, and valves.

**Work Environment**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee may also be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Staten Island, New York.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00

**Workplace Type**
