Job Description
The Industrial Electrician position requires someone with strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing equipment, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical components of production equipment and systems. Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of performance, quality, service, and cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and requirements as directed by standard manufacturing policies established by the company. Automated systems include food processing, refrigeration, filling, packaging, boiler, air generation, and wastewater systems.
ResponsibilitiesOperate, maintain, and trend the Building Automation Systems (BAS) for the entire site.Perform preventive maintenance, component replacement, and corrections as needed.Participate in structured group or team activities related to line/area performance improvement, autonomous maintenance, housekeeping, and problem-solving.Maintain and repair environmental-control systems and processes, utilizing knowledge of electronics, direct digital control (DDC), airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, pH sensors, flow meters, electrical meters, and system control techniques.Essential Skills4+ years' experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.Skilled at troubleshooting and installing PLC Ladder Logic - Lenox, Allen Bradley, or Siemens.Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and specs for machine installation.Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC troubleshooting, welding, blueprint reading, and 3-phase electrical systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with Windows-based programs.Familiarity with basic processing equipment and calibration requirements.Ability to understand technical records and communicate technical data.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work 12-hour shifts.Reliable transportation.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
1st shift. Work on a team of 7 industrial electricians. All workers must gown up as this is a Food and Beverage facility regulated by specific standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.89 - $42.52/hr.
